Rainmeter doesn't do sync with some other device, the closest it can do is scrape a webpage or parse some file to get some data from those in order to display it or manipulate it in a skin. It also can't do MacOs widgets, since it's Windows only.Hi! I use Windows 10 and I downloaded Rainmeter in hopes of getting MacOS widgets so I could have my reminders from my iPhone displayed on my desktop. The only skins I found are not actually able to sync with iCloud or my phone. Is there any skins that will do this, or any similar alternatives? Thanks!
sorry if this makes zero sense, I literally just downloaded rainmeter and got on the forum so i could see if any widget like this existed lol
So, if those reminders exist on a (non Javascript) webpage or a local (possibly network) file, then Rainmeter can get and display them in various forms - an example of this is in this Google Calendar thread, albeit the method seems a bit complex and I didn't test it as I don't use Google Calendar in the first place. Alternatively, you can try recreating the said widget(s) and reminders in a new Rainmeter skin - and there are some examples and skins on the forum related to reminders, notes, and such, since Rainmeter does have Time measures and Uptime measures that can help with that, as well as Calc measures to compute stuff.
As for alternative software that might do the said sync, I'm not familiar with any, mainly because I have no need for such things, but maybe others know this area better and could suggest something along those lines.
